There's a BRAND-NEW SOCIETY in town, darling scribes! 

The BC Author Society (https://bcauthorsociety.ca/) is hosting its inaugural BC Author Book Fair at Chilliwack Heritage park on Saturday, June 6, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.! I am so excited about this! If you are a BOOK LOVER, plan to spend the day among authors and creatives and come prepared to SHOP.

Authors and artists, if you are interested in applying to be a vendor at this event, pop by the BC Author Society website and fill out an application: https://bcauthorsociety.ca/events/. Tables are priced from $40 to $100, which is very reasonable for an event in this venue (which is huge). 

If you've never been to Chilliwack Heritage Park, there is tons of parking, ample bathroom facilities, carnival-type concessions from the Heritage Hut (they have coffee and tea too), and just a buzz down the road are all sorts of restaurants and fast-food joints. I've spent more than a few weekends at Heritage Park for dog shows and our Bard & Bloom booths, so I am stoked about having an opportunity to showcase my books. Fingers crossed I get picked to be a vendor! If I do, I will have not only books but PLENTY OF BOOK-LOVER AND WRITERLY MERCH, including tote bags (perfect to carry your book haul in!), coffee mugs, stickers, magnets, buttons, and more.

Membership in the BC Authors Society is only $25 CAD. I'm definitely going to join. Did I mention that I LOVE BOOK PEOPLE?
